The Carmelites of the Szent Istvánról nevezett Magyar Sarutlan Karmelita Rendtartomány led the building effort under prioratary head dr. Hász Brokárd, and the construction reached completion by 1930, when the church and the attached convent were blessed on 3 October 1930.
