In Pálos kolostorrom, Tálod, a medieval Szent Erzsébet pálos kolostor once stood beside the Kinizsi-forrás. It is remembered as one of Hungary’s oldest Pálos houses, and it was founded in the late 13th century by the Gyulaffy family for monks devoted to Saint Elizabeth. Around the monastic complex there ran a stone wall about 600 meters long, enclosing a court where a bővizű water source rose and where a water tank basin was also found. The church was single-naved and about 25 meters long, with a straight-ended sanctuary. The monastery’s northern side held a cloister of three wings, built next to an approximately 32 by 36 meter range for the monks’ quarters.
